Create A/B Test Email

To start A/B Testing, you have to enter Email Marketing Menu through dashboard or left-side bar. Click dropdown button located beside of Create Contact button then select A/B Test Email.

Next, set your A/B Test Setting. There are some settings inside the menu as follows:

  • A/B Testing Name
    Name of A/B Testing.

  • A/B Testing Type
    There are 3 types of testing available:
    1. Content
      Compare contents from 2 different emails. It is intended to set the best content that could fit into audiences.

    2. Email Subject
      Compare style of different email subjects. This thing will give you consideration to determine the best email subject style that could take audience’s interest.

    3. Send Time
      Compare date and time of different email sendings. It helps you to set the best time to send emails, so it will improve your email’s open-rate.

  • Percentage of Your Recipient
    You can simply dragging through percentage bar, to set how many targeted audience that will receive A/B Testing email. While the winner is the rest of the audience who will receive email results from A/B Testing.

  • Automatic Choose Winner You have to set Automatic Choose Winner first, if you want to select Content and Email Subject type on A/B Testing.
    If you select “Yes”, the winner will automatically set and automatically send selected email towards audiences as well.
    Otherwise, “No” means that you have to manually set the winner and send email manually as well.
    If you choose “Yes”, then you have to do some settings:
    • Indicators of A/B Testing Result
      1. Open Rate : For most opened email.
      2. Click-through Rate : For most click on link inside the email.
    • A/B Testing Duration
      How long you will execute A/B Testing.

After you done setting, click “Create” button.

Select email template design that suits you, the process is likely the same with compose email.

Content

Select Content to A/B Testing Type, if you want to compare 2 different contents.

Like composing email, you have to set some configurations (left-side bar) as follows: Subject, Recipient, Sender and Schedule.

There are 2 different contents you should compose first, its the A version and B version.

Compose your email on A Version, after you done, you are able to click on B version to compose other content of email.

There are 2 ways you are able to do to compose email on B version:

  1. Copy From A Version
    You can compose email with copy email content from the A version.
  2. Create From Scratch
    You can compose email from scratch.

After you done compose email, click Preview button then Send. We suggest you to do re-checking on each preview of A Version and B Version email not only on desktop view but also mobile view to ensure that the email view suits on your wants and needs.

Email Subject

In case you want to compare on each 2 different email subjects, select Email Subject on A/B Testing type.

Same as compose email, you have to set some configurations (left-side bar) as follows: Subject, Recipient, Sender, and Scheduling.

On A/B Testing type with Email Subject, you have to create 2 email subject that will use for comparison.

After you done compose email, click Preview button then Send. We suggest you to do re-checking on each preview of A Version and B Version email not only on desktop view but also mobile view to ensure that the email view suits on your wants and needs.

Send Time

In case you want to compare on each 2 different email sending times, select Send Time on A/B Testing type.

On this type of A/B Testing, you don’t need to set condition to decide winner will set manual or automatically.

Same as compose email, you have to set some configurations (left-side bar) as follows: Subject, Recipient, Sender, and Scheduling.

On A/B Testing type with Send Time, you have to create 2 email sending times that will use for comparison, such as Schedule A and Schedule B.

After you done compose email, click Preview button then Send. We suggest you to do re-checking on each preview of A Version and B Version email not only on desktop view but also mobile view to ensure that the email view suits on your wants and needs.
