How to Add and Update Customer's WhatsApp Number
Here you will learn how to add the recipient’s WhatsApp number, or update the number because it is possible that the number of the recipient has changed to a new one. Here’s how to update and add a WhatsApp number.
- Enter the “Contact Management” menu and select “Contact Book”.
- If the recipient is new, then you need to add it via “Add Contact”. If the contact is already in the Contact Book, then you can simply search it through the “Search” column and then do “Edit Contact”.
- Here all you need is to look for the Phone field which will be used as the recipient. Click “Show more fields” and the “Phone” field will appear.
Make sure you use the “Phone” field which is the default field from MTARGET to fill in the WhatsApp number that will be the recipient. If you use a custom field to create a number based field, it is not supported yet.
- If you have added a WhatsApp number, click the “Update Contacts” button.
Here you have successfully added the customer’s WhatsApp number to be the recipient and are ready to send WhatsApp messages.
