This documentation explains the Export Data Activity mechanism in Mailtarget, including the default export behavior available on the dashboard and the Advanced Export option for full data activity export needs.
1. Export Activity (Default)
The Export Activity (Default) feature is a standard export function that is available directly on the Mailtarget dashboard.
Default Export Conditions
You can export only the data currently displayed on the dashboard.
The maximum number of data rows that can be exported is 100 rows per export.
The export file format is CSV (.csv).
The exported file will be automatically downloaded through your browser.
Reason for Applying Default Export
The limitations applied to the default export are intended to help you:
Use the Webhook API as the primary solution for retrieving activity data.
Retrieve activity data automatically, in real time, or on a scheduled basis, without the need for manual exports from the dashboard.
Avoid relying on manual exports for large and repetitive volumes of data.
Data Retention
The activity data that can be exported follows the data retention policy based on the package you are using.
No additional data retention changes are applied to this default export feature.
2. Advanced Export Data Activity
Advanced Export is an additional feature that allows you to export activity data in full directly from the dashboard, based on the applicable data retention period.
Advanced Export Conditions
You can export activity data in full according to the data retention period included in your package.
The default activity data retention period is the last 7 days.
The data retention period can be customized or extended through data retention add-ons.
Export Process
When the export process starts, an export process information section will appear on the dashboard.
The export process status will be displayed as:
Processing: the export process is currently running. The larger the amount of data being exported, the longer the process may take.
Completed: the export process has been completed successfully.
Failed: the export process has failed. This usually occurs due to a temporary issue in the internal system. If this happens, please wait for a moment, refresh the dashboard page, and retry the export process.
While the export process is running:
The Export button will be automatically disabled.
This is intended to prevent multiple export actions from being triggered at the same time.
The export process status will be updated after you refresh the dashboard page.
Download Data Export
The exported file will not be downloaded directly from the dashboard.
The export result will be sent to the email address registered to your Mailtarget account.
You must ensure that:
Your registered email address is active.
Your email inbox can receive incoming emails (not full or blocked).
Requesting Advanced Export Access
The Advanced Export feature is not enabled by default.
You can request access to this feature by sending an email to: [email protected]
The Mailtarget team will evaluate your request based on your needs and current package.
Usage Recommendation
For system integration and continuous activity data monitoring, Mailtarget strongly recommends using the Webhook API.
Dashboard export features (both default and advanced) are better suited for:
Data auditing
Manual analysis
Internal reporting
