Here you will learn how to add a recipient's WhatsApp number or update it in case the recipient has changed their number. Here's how to update and add a WhatsApp number.

  1. Go to the "Contact Management" menu, then select "Contact Book".

  2. If the recipient is new, you need to add them through "Add Contact". If the contact is already in the Contact Book, you just need to search for them using the "Search" column and then "Edit Contact".

  3. Here, you need to find the Phone field that will be used as the recipient. Click "Show more fields," and the "Phone" field will appear.

Make sure you use the default "Phone" field from MTARGET to fill in the WhatsApp number that will be used as the recipient. If you use a custom field to create a number-based field, it is not currently supported.

  1. Once you have added the WhatsApp number, click the "Update Contacts" button.

You have now successfully added the customer's WhatsApp number to be used as a recipient and are ready to send WhatsApp messages.
