Tracking domain is a domain used to track and monitor email campaign metrics, such as opens, clicks, and other user interactions. Tracking domain is specifically designated for tracking purposes. When tracking is implemented, links within the email content are replaced with links containing the tracking domain. This allows the sender to monitor recipient interactions.
The tracking domain is essential for several reasons:
Analytics: It enables the tracking of user engagement, providing valuable data such as open rates, click-through rates, and other metrics.
Reputation Management: By separating tracking from the main sending domain, any negative impact on email deliverability due to user interactions won't directly affect the sender's primary domain reputation.
Branding: Using a dedicated tracking domain helps maintain consistent branding in email links.
