Welcome email is an email that is automatically sent when a new subscriber signs up. To create it, MTARGET has features that you can use. There are 4 steps to create a welcome email using MTARGET features.

Creating a Subscriber Form

The first step is to create a form that will be filled out by potential subscribers. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Go to the Form API menu then select Create Form to create a new form or duplicate an existing form. You can use the Plain Template to create a form from scratch or use other Category Templates provided.

  2. Name the form and add a Label to make it easier for you to identify the source of the contact.

  3. Edit the form and add fields according to your needs. Then publish the form.

Embed Form to Page

After creating the form, the next step is to embed the form into a page. So you need to create a Page first.

  1. Go to the Page menu then select Create Page. You can compose the page from scratch or choose one of the provided Category Templates and then edit it.

  2. After entering the Landing Page Builder, you can create content as you wish using the components we provide. When finished, add the form component and select the form you created earlier.

  3. If everything is done, Publish Page.

Once the page is published, you will get a unique URL that can be shared directly via social media or other channels or embedded into your website. Note that if you use a website with the WordPress platform, you can integrate it directly with MTARGET, so you don’t need to add the form to the page first. Forms created in the MTARGET system can be installed directly on the website page.

Create Email Automation

To ensure the welcome email is sent every time a new subscriber signs up, you need to create an automation scenario. Here are the steps to do it.

  1. Go to the Email Automation menu then select Create Automation at the top right.

  2. Select Form as the Trigger. Then select the form you created earlier. Click Save.

  3. In the Select Scenario section, select Response then Submit and click Create. This indicates that the email will be sent immediately when the subscriber clicks the submit button.

  4. Next, click Select Scenario and choose Send Email in the Action section.

  5. The next step is to compose the email that will be used as the welcome email. You can create this email from scratch or from an existing draft. Set the Subject, Sender, and then save the email.

  6. If the email status is Ready, close the automation with Action Finish or add other scenarios.

  7. The Status field on the right shows the completeness of the automation. If the status is okay, the automation can be run. If not, review what is incomplete.

Once the automation is complete, every time a new subscriber fills out the form you created, they will automatically receive a welcome email from you. For complete information on how to create Email Automation, you can read here.
