A welcome email is an email that is automatically sent when a new subscriber signs up. To create it, MTARGET has features that you can take advantage of. There are 4 steps that must be done to create a welcome email through the MTARGET features.

Creating a Subscriber Form

The first step is to create a form that will be filled out by prospective subscribers. Here is how to do it.

  1. Go to the Form API menu then select Create Form to create a new form or duplicate from an existing form. You can use the Plain Template to create a form from scratch or use other Category Templates that have been provided.

  2. Give the form a name and add a Label to make it easier for you to identify the origin of the contact.

  3. Edit the form and add fields according to your needs. Then Publish the form.

Embed Form into Page

After creating the form, the next step is to embed the form into a page. So you must first create a Page.

  1. Go to the Page menu then select Create Page. You can compose a page from scratch or choose one of the Category Templates that have been provided and then edit it.

  2. After entering the Landing Page Builder, you can create it with the content you want using the components we have provided. After finishing, add the form component and select the form that was previously created.

  3. If everything is complete, Publish Page.

Once the page is published, you will get a unique URL that can be shared directly through social media or other channels or embed the page into your website. As a note, if you use a website with the WordPress platform, you can directly integrate it with MTARGET, so there is no need to add the form to the page first. The form created in the MTARGET system can be directly installed on the website page.

Create Email Automation

To ensure that the welcome email is sent every time a new subscriber signs up, an automation scenario needs to be created. Here are the steps to do it.

  1. Go to the Email Automation menu then select Create Automation in the upper right corner.

  2. Select Form as the Trigger. Then select the form that was previously created. Click Save.

  3. In the Select Scenario section, select Response then Submit and click Create. This indicates that the email will be sent immediately when a subscriber clicks the submit button.

  4. Next, click Select Scenario and select Send Email in the Action section.

  5. The next step is to compose the email that will be used as the welcome email. You can create the email from scratch or use an existing draft. Set the Subject, Sender, and then save the email.

  6. If the email status is Ready, then close the automation with Finish Action or add another scenario.

  7. The Status field on the right shows the completeness of the automation; if the status is okay, the automation can be run. If not, review what has not been completed.

If the automation is complete, then every time a new subscriber fills out the form that has been created, they will automatically receive a welcome email from you. Complete information on how to create Email Automation can be read here.
