Here you will learn what you need to know about using Media in WhatsApp Messages.

WhatsApp Media

You can enrich your WhatsApp message content by including a header containing files such as images, videos, and documents. This allows you to send messages and files simultaneously, like this example message.

Here are the types of media you can include:

  1. Images (.jpg or .png).

  2. Documents (.pdf).

  3. Videos (.mp4).

The maximum file size you can send is 16MB.

How to use it?

  1. Create a template message first.

  2. When creating a template message, there will be an option to include a file. Select the file type you want to include. The file type chosen here cannot be changed once the template message is approved.

  1. Once the template message is created, proceed to Compose.

  2. In the Compose page, a section to add a file link will appear on the right panel.

You can use a link from any source as long as the format is correct. If you store files in the Asset Manager, simply go to the Asset Manager, copy the link, and paste it into the file link section.

Notes: For documents (.pdf), the file name will follow the specific name in the link.

  1. Once everything is set, proceed to send the WhatsApp message.
