Here you will learn how to integrate Crisp with MTARGET through Zapier to get contact data from those who contact you via Crisp live chat. Before proceeding to the steps in Zapier, make sure you have activated the option to fill in the email address as follows:
Setting > Website Settings > Chatbox & Email Setting > Chatbox Behaviour > Enable 'Force visitors to identify themselves (email or phone)'
By enabling the above configuration, each user will fill in their email before continuing to chat with you. After enabling, you can start setting up integration in Zapier with the following steps:
Setting Up Integration
Open your Zapier account, then click 'My Apps' and search for mtarget.co in the search bar.
Next, you will be asked to fill in the API Token. Open your MTARGET account, then go to the Integration menu and select Zapier. An API Token will appear there. Copy it, then paste it into the field on the Zapier page. Then click the 'Yes, Continue' button.
To ensure the integration was successful, you can click the 'Test' button. If a 'Success' notification appears, the integration of your MTARGET account to Zapier has been successful.
Now switch to your Crisp account. In the sidebar, select 'Plugin' and install Zapier first in Crisp. Once done, go back to your Zapier account.
Go to the 'My Apps' page in Zapier. Search for 'Crisp' in the search bar. You will be asked to log in to your Crisp account and enter your Crisp ID. You can find your Crisp ID in the Settings, then select 'Setup Instruction'. The Crisp ID will appear there, which you need to copy to Zapier.
You have now successfully added Crisp to your Zapier account.
Set Trigger
Now it's time to integrate Crisp with your MTARGET account. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Go to the Zap menu, then click the 'Create zap' button.
Set the title of your zap.
Then in the search bar, select 'Crisp'. Then in the 'Choose Trigger Event', select 'New Contact'.
Select your Crisp account.
The system will then try to integrate with Crisp. If you fail at this stage, you can try filling in the data in Crisp through Live Chat as a sample to be read by the Zapier system.
Click the 'Continue' button.
Define Action
Next, type MTARGET in the search bar. Then click.
In the 'Choose Action Event', select 'Save Contact'.
You will then do 'Customize Contact'. Here you will specify the columns that match the mandatory fields such as Email, Firstname, and Label as shown below.
Note: Fill the Label field with the name of the Label you want to register in the Contact Book.
Sample data to be sent to the contacts in the MTARGET Contact Book will be displayed. Click 'Test & Continue'.
After completion, you can check the entire flow of the integration you have made. Make sure it is correct. If it feels right, click 'Done Editing'. Then 'Turn on Zap' to activate the integration.
Once the integration is running, all data that comes in through Crisp's Live Chat will be synchronized to your MTARGET Contact Book.
