You can now integrate Google Tag Manager with MTARGET Page. Google Tag Manager is used to manage all pixel tags that you install on the Page. Typically, you would manually install the pixel tag code by inserting the pixel tag code directly. However, here, you will only need to fill in one pixel tag code from Google Tag Manager, and if you want to add more pixel tag codes, it will be done directly through Google Tag Manager. Note that only pixels available from Google Tag Manager can be used.

Make sure you have an account on the platform that provides the pixel tags you want to add to your Google Tag Manager account before integrating Google Tag Manager.

To integrate Google Tag Manager with MTARGET Page, follow these steps:

  1. Visit this page to access Google Tag Manager.

  2. Click "Sign in to Tag Manager."

  3. Click "Create Account."

  4. Fill in your account information. In the web section, enter your default Page URL, such as example.mailtrgt.com or andika.mailtrgt.com. Do not use subdomain URLs, such as example.mailtrgt.com/page or andika.mailtrgt.com/test-page.

  5. Select Web as the target platform.

  6. After filling in all the information, click "Create."

  7. You will be taken to your Google Tag Manager workspace. Here, you will start activating Tags. Click the "New Tag" button to add a new Tag.

  8. First, click on "Tag Configuration" to select the tag you want to add. You will also need to enter the pixel ID you got from the pixel you want to add.

  9. Second, choose Trigger. You can select when Google Tag Manager will record incoming data. Generally, 'All Pages' is chosen, so all activities on your Page will be recorded. However, if you want to add other scenarios, click the '+' in the top right corner.

  10. After making sure all configurations are complete, click 'Save.'

  11. If successfully added, a notification will appear in 'Live Version.'

  12. At this stage, if you want to add other pixel codes, add them first as before.

  13. When you have finished adding the pixel codes, click the 'Submit' button.

  14. Enter a 'Version name' of your choice and then click the 'Publish' button.

You should have successfully set up Google Tag Manager by now. Now it's time to integrate it with MTARGET Page.

  1. After logging in, go to the Page menu.

  2. Select 'Page Integration.'

  3. Find Google Tag Manager and click the 'View Detail' button.

  4. On the Google Tag Manager integration page, you will be asked to enter the ID of the Google Tag Manager you previously created.

  5. Log in to your Google Tag Manager account and find the Container ID. Usually, the ID starts with 'GTM-xxxxxx.' Copy the code, then return to the Google Tag Manager integration page on MTARGET.

  6. Paste it into the field and click 'Save.'

You have successfully integrated Google Tag Manager with MTARGET Page. To check if Google Tag Manager has been successfully applied to your MTARGET Page, use Tag Assistant accessible on the Google Chrome browser to see if Google Tag Manager has been installed correctly.

If you have installed Tag Assistant, you will be asked to activate it. If there is a red notification in Tag Assistant, your Page has not successfully integrated with Google Tag Manager. However, if there is a green notification in Tag Assistant, the Page you integrated has successfully integrated with Google Tag Manager.
