Adding Filters to the Contact Book

Find contacts is easier by filtering the Contact Book.

If you want to filter the contact book, here are some things and steps you need to do.

  1. On the Contact Book menu, you can filter by typing the label name.
  2. Click the filter icon to the right of the field label.

  3. A Contact Details popup will appear. Here you can more freely organize your contacts. Here are some explanations for the Contact Book filter that you need to know:
  • Basic Filter: You can filter contacts based on labels with status Only, Include, Exclude. Here is the explanation:
    • Only: To search for contacts only on the selected status label. For example, you want to search for contacts only on label A, so only Label A.
    • Include: To search for contacts that contain keyword labels you are looking for. So you can search for more than one label contact. Suppose you want to find a contact with the keyword label ‘City’, then all labels that have the name City will be displayed.
    • Exclude: To search for contacts that don’t contain the keyword label you are looking for. So you can search for more than one label contact. Suppose you want to find a contact with the keyword label ‘City’, then all labels that have the name City will be displayed.
  • Advance Filter: You can filter contacts by fields with status Only, Contain, Is Not Contain. Here is the explanation:
    • Only: To search for contacts that only contain the search field. Suppose you are only looking for contacts that have a ‘Company’ field, only contacts that have ‘Company’ will appear.
    • Contain: To search for contacts that contain the keywords you are looking for in several fields included in that field. So it could be that the fields that you find later are more than one field. Suppose you want to search for a contact with the keyword field ‘City’, then all fields that have the name City will be displayed.
    • Is Not Contain: To search for contacts that do not contain the keywords you are looking for in several fields included in that field. So it could be that the fields that you find later are more than one field. Suppose you want to find a contact that doesn’t have a field with the keyword ‘City’, then all contacts that don’t have a ‘City’ field will appear.
  1. After the popup is closed press the Apply button.

  2. The filtered contacts will be visible in the Contact Book.
