What is Two-Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication, also referred to as dual-factor authentication, is a security management process that requires two methods of user identification to access resources or data.
In MTARGET, the two methods used for two-factor authentication are:
- Email and Password.
- One-time OTP Code Verification or one-time verification link that is sent to emails.
Using Two-Factor Authentication in Your MTARGET Account
To use Two-factor Authentication for your account, log in to your MTARGET account, and follow these steps:
Enable 2FA immediately.
If you’re a new MTARGET user, two-factor authentication is enabled by default.
If you’re an existing user, two-factor authentication is disabled by default. You can enable it immediately by clicking the switcher. If you do this, you will be redirected to the login page to re-login. You can also enable it later by clicking the “Continue to Dashboard” button.
Perform the 2FA process in your MTARGET account.
After you enable 2FA, you can log in to your account. We will send you an email contains a OTP code and one-time magic link button to log in to your MTARGET account, you can choose one of the two methods. Make sure your email address has an inbox, and do not close the tab during the verification process. Please take note that you can resend the verification email after 1 minutes and the expired time of OTP code or magic link is 5 minutes.
Verify that it’s you.
Once we have sent you the 2FA email, type the OTP code and click the Verify button, or click the one-time verification button in the emails. You will then be directed to the dashboard. Congratulations, you have now implemented two-factor authentication!
Disabling the Two-Factor Authentication [Not Recomended]
You can disable two-factor authentication by clicking Settings > Company Profile.
In this section, you will be asked to confirm that you want to disable the process. If you agree, click the I’ll accept the risk button. If you need to keep the 2FA process, click the Keep Protected button.

Didn't get any email OTP?
Generally, emails containing verification code or link should arrive within one or two minutes. If it takes longer than that, there are reasons why you may not be receiving your verification code for your MTARGET account:
- The email is in transit but is experiencing delays.
- The email goes into the spam folder, it happens if you marked mtarget.co domain as a spam or blocked email address.
- Our domain is included in your company’s filtered domain list.
- You are experiencing connectivity problems.
- Always update your email inbox, problems could occur due to other issues.
Below are the tips that you can do if you encounter these problems:
- Please allow a few minutes for the email to reach your inbox.
- Unblock or unmark mtarget.co as spam email, please refer to your email service provider’s support page.
- Whitelist mtarget.co, refer to your ISP’s support page for steps to whitelist an email domain.
- Make sure there’s no connectivity issues.
- Make sure you’re still receiving other emails. Please periodically check if your inbox isn’t full or affected by other issues.
- Try resending a code after 1 minute using the link on the verification screen.
The time difference in email delivery speed measured in seconds, at which email clients receive emails can vary depending on several factors, including the email service provider, the email client software, the user’s internet connection, and the email server’s performance. However, there is a general estimate of the delivery speed for some popular email clients:

For the most accurate assessment of email delivery speed with a specific email client, it’s advisable to conduct tests in your particular email environment, as results can vary.

Some email clients offer push email support, which allows for near-instantaneous email delivery.
- Mobile Email Apps (e.g., Apple Mail, Gmail App): Mobile email apps are designed to provide real-time email notifications, ensuring that you receive emails as soon as they arrive on the server. However, the speed can still depend on factors like your mobile device’s connection to the internet.
- Third-Party Email Clients (e.g., Spark, BlueMail): Third-party email clients vary in terms of speed, and some may rely on different protocols or settings. The speed of email retrieval may also depend on how frequently the client checks for new emails.
- Corporate Email Clients (e.g., Microsoft Exchange): Corporate email clients like Microsoft Outlook connected to Exchange servers are usually optimized for fast email delivery within a corporate network. They often use Microsoft’s proprietary protocols for efficient communication.
It’s important to note that email delivery speed can also be influenced by the performance and capacity of the email server, the sender’s server, and any potential network issues in between. Additionally, user-configured settings, such as sync intervals and spam filters, can impact the speed at which emails are received.
To get the best and fastest email delivery experience, it’s a good idea to ensure that your email client is configured correctly and that your internet connection is stable. Most modern email clients and services aim to provide quick and reliable email delivery to their users.
How to sync your Gmail app with other email accounts or apps
To get your 2FA verification email faster, we recommend syncing your email. If you use Gmail as your main email inbox application, you can synchronize with other email inbox applications easily. This synchronization can help you not lose important messages, save time in getting information, and so on. In this document, you will learn how to synchronize your Gmail account with other applications such as Android and iOS:
Select your sync settings Before you synchronize your account or application, you need to set the synchronization settings. This setting regulates how often your Gmail checks the latest messages, handles incoming notifications, and how much data is used. Here’s how to set synchronization settings:
- Open your Gmail app.
- Tap the menu icon and tap Settings.
- Tap your account name and tap sync frequency. You can choose automatically, every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or something else. You can also set the on or off button for the options that need to be synchronized
Add another email account To synchronize Gmail with an email account from another provider, you need to add an email account from a different provider to your Gmail account. To be able to add another email account, follow these steps:
- Open your Gmail application.
- Tap menu icon > tap settings.
- Tap add account > tap the type of account you want to add.
- Follow the instructions such as entering your email address, password and other details. Then you will be able to switch between the main account and other accounts by tapping your profile picture or name at the top right corner of the app.
Use third-party apps
If you want to synchronize your Gmail account with another email application, you can use a third-party application that supports Gmail integration. Examples of email applications that can sync with Gmail are Spark, Bluemail, Edison and others. If you want to use it, you need to download the application on the Google Play Store or App Store. After that, you can give access to the third party application to be able to access your Gmail account, follow the setting instructions required by your account.
